rox-lib 2.5.0 required me to install pyxml in order to retrieve the pyexpat module. This dependency was not satisfied by the ebuild. I had to look in the /var/tmp/portage/rox-base/rox-lib-2.5.0/work/tmp.native_feed file to locate the error message. This message could have been pulled from tmp.native_feed, and outputted when "0distutils ROX-Lib2/ROX-Lib2.xml < tmp.native_feed" failed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 'emerge rox-base/rox-lib' with pyxml not installed. 2. 3.
Interesting. This should actually be added to zeroinstall-injectory (That's where 0distutils lives), but thanks very much for reporting this! One question: what version of python are you presently running?
Okay, you don't actually need pyxml, you just need python with xml support. I have forced this dependency in the newest versions of zeroinstall and rox-lib.
