Description jsado_sc3 2009-01-14 02:24:12 UTC
When I try to emerge ffmpeg, I get this error:

please attach the full build log and config.err since the error is somewhere when libavcodec.so gets linked but causes failures later
Comment 2 Alexis Ballier gentoo-dev 2009-01-15 08:48:08 UTC
bah the weird thing is that you only get speex_header_free as undef. references while ffmpeg uses much more functions from libspeex, try also rebuilding speex (and if this doesn't help, try reducing your cflags/ldflags)

speex appears to be correctly detected and linked; please post emerge -pv speex and try rebuilding it with empty cflags/ldflags
Comment 6 Alexis Ballier gentoo-dev 2009-01-17 00:32:41 UTC
ok i think i get it, speex 1.1.12 didnt have speex_header_free but 1.2_beta do, so i bumped the required version and this should be fixed
Comment 7 jsado_sc3 2009-01-17 01:33:08 UTC
Yes, I was just going to mention that I emerged speex, which upgraded me from 1.1.12 to 1.2_beta3_p2, and then ffmpeg installed fine.

Thanks.
