dear mobile herd, I posted a message on -dev a while ago and asked about creating a global gsm USE-flag (see $URL). The gsm USE-flag exists 9 times, 7 times as a switch for media-libs/gsm and twice in your mobile packages, for "Add support for EAP-SIM authentication algorithm". In my opinion it would make sense to create a global USE-flag for the sound library. Then you should decide whether you leave the gsm USE-flag (and it's description in metadata.xml) or prefer to rename the flag. Thanks for your input, Markus
Answer from the mobile herd will be really appreciated :)
Add wpa_supplicant maintainer in CC.
I'm fine with changing it in wpa-supplicant. Don't know about xsupplicant, shouldn't it just be changed when it gets bumped and unmasked again?

I think there is no need to wait as it is blocking gsm global use flag. If you can do it for wpa_supplicant I'm ok to do it for xsupplicant (i pinged mobile herd a few times with echo). Is "eap-sim" a correct renaming for you ?
Thats fine with me. I'll change wpa-supplicant later today when I get home :-)
It has been changed to eap-sim in wpa_supplicant, now we only need to get xsupplicant fixed.
I've just fixed it for xsupplicant. Thank you Bjarke.
