it looks at

. But there is only latest version here.
All (or almost all) versions are in
http://rsync.samba.org/ftp/rsync/src/rsync-*.tar.gz
.

if your download isnt working, it means your make.conf is misconfigured and you need to set proper GENTOO_MIRRORS

making the change to the ebuild wont work though, so ...
