The version of icns2png included in Gentoo is very old and has numerous bugs. A much more recent version with newer features and fixed bugs can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/icns/

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Current version cannot convert 256 or 512 size icons
2. Current version incorrectly decodes some icons
3. Current version segfaults on some icons

media-libs/libicns is in tree now. users that had icns2png installed, will noticed it as pkgmove from media-gfx/icns2png.
