media-libs/amr[nw]b are marked as "LGPL-2 as-is". However, part of the code is not legal to redistribute, so there should be a 3rd piece to that.

Not a duplicate, and not fixed.
This is about updating the LICENSE field in ebuild rather than mirroring issues, so I agree it hasn't been addressed. Probably it needs addition of a 3gpp license file permitting "in-house" use but not redistribution.
So.. can someone point us to the license page of 3gpp codecs? Might be blind, but couldn't find anything sane..
A small status update: amrnb and amrwb will be removed soon as the reverse deps are fixed to support opencore-amr. From this: http://tinderbox.dev.gentoo.org/misc/rindex/media-libs/amrwb http://tinderbox.dev.gentoo.org/misc/rindex/media-libs/amrnb To this: http://tinderbox.dev.gentoo.org/misc/rindex/media-libs/opencore-amr
These left, =media-video/ffmpeg-0.5-r1 (media-video) =media-video/gpac-0.4.4-r1 (media-video) (both amrnb and amrwb internal!) =media-video/gpac-0.4.5 (media-video) =net-voip/yate-2.0.0 (volkmar, voip)

Why was this closen? We have amrnb and amrwb in tree with missing license!
<hat type="trustee"> ssuominen asked for a link to the license, and never got one. The trustees would need to see the license to make any statements on it, and/or pass it on for formal legal advice. As such, this bug is RESO NEEDINFO from our side. Alternatively, if the remaining packages using it just get removed, the problem becomes moot. Please either link the license, or remove the packages. </hat>

removing trustees then, thanks. re-add us if you get the license and want the packages to stay.
