Description:   Opened: 2003-07-22 13:53 0000 
setting USE="nls" in make.conf prevents bootstrap.sh from working because
bootstrap will try to compile gettext before g++ is available

set your KEYWORDS back to "x86" for bootstrap

also you can try and do "-nls" in your use flags this worked for me. i left the
~x86 in.

gettext has been patched to remove the C++ stuff for bootstrap situations.
