Description Nico R. Wohlgemuth 2008-12-12 17:52:14 UTC
Here is a ebuild for x11-misc/slim with a patch for the default /etc/slim.conf.

Changes:
* Added X Server arguments so that slim calls X with the same arguments as startx does
* Logfile re-enabled
* Enabled numlock by default (you may change this but I think everyone wants that)
* Replaced spaces by tabs

This also removes the hackish part of the ebuild.

Replacing spaces with tabs is nitpicking and against Gentoo's goal of being aligned with upstream as much as possible. The rest I agree with. Reviewing and will ge to soon-ish.

Okay nice.
The reason why I replaced spaces with tabs was 1. nicer alignment and 2. the "default_user" stuff has not worked (well it does not work with tabs too) - when logging in with default_user the pw is always wrong - maybe we can fix that if someone finds out why this is like it is.

Done. Mind filing a new bug for that pw issue with more details?
