Description dynamotwain 2008-11-17 06:03:54 UTC
Run vmplayer in full-screen mode, and click the button to autohide the toolbar. vmplayer crashes with this message in the console:
/opt/vmware/player/lib/vmware/bin/vmplayer: symbol lookup error: /opt/vmware/player/lib/vmware/bin/vmplayer: undefined symbol: ViewAutoDrawer_Close

ViewAutoDrawer_Close is provided by libview.so from x11-libs/libview but according to http://view.sourceforge.net/, ViewAutoDrawer_Close was new as of the 0.6.2 release.

Renaming libview-0.6.1.ebuild to libview-0.6.2.ebuild is sufficient for it to compile for Gtk+ 2.12.x, but #239325 still applies for 2.14.x

Thanks for the report, I've now added libview-0.6.2 into the vmware overlay. The libview package is actually maintained by another developer who seems to be a bit busy at the moment, so please bear with us...

Ok, I bumped libview to 0.6.2 and I've now added this to both x.5.0 and x.5.1 (2 for player, 6 for workstation). So hopefully this should be all fixed up. Sorry for the delay and thanks for filing the bug... 5:)
