www-apps/awstats-6.7 has been removed for security reasons. Stabling a nightly snapshot was a dumb thing to do. My mistake but I did not know it was a snapshot as it has a version number. I currently hope they get their act together and push out a release soon.

Yeah, I just commented on the bug. Anyway I guess I can't change the situation now so I guess I have to bump it once in a while until upstream releases a stable version. Bumped and marked as resolved for the time being.
Horrible hack for those of you caught in a situation like I was (needing awstats, but couldn't even install an older version): rm /usr/portage/net-www/awstats/Manifest ebuild /usr/portage/net-www/awstats/awstats-6.9.ebuild digest emerge -av awstats That should do the trick, since there doesn't seem to be a decent alternative until they fix the upstream package.
According to http://awstats.sourceforge.net/ awstats 6.9 is marked as stable on 28 Dec 2008. Is it possible to update the ebuild in portage?
