I recently added x11-libs/fltk:2, which is hardmasked for the moment, but I'd like to get this into ~arch, so that dillo-2.0 can be unmasked as well. Therefore the maintainers of all packages that depend on x11-libs/fltk need to check if those packages build and work correctly with the slot 2 version of fltk; and where necessary adjust the dependency to be on slot 1.1 specifically. This is the list of involved packages and maintainers: app-text/flpsed tex app-text/htmldoc carlo dev-cpp/sptk iluxa dev-python/pyfltk bicatali games-simulation/crashtest games games-simulation/fgrun games games-util/glbsp games media-gfx/aqsis graphics media-gfx/flphoto no-herd -> can graphics take this on? media-gfx/monica robbat2 media-gfx/openexr_viewers video media-gfx/pixie no-herd -> can graphics take this on? media-libs/openexr video media-sound/alsa-patch-bay sound media-sound/alsa-tools alsa media-sound/alsamixergui sound media-sound/gmorgan proaudio media-sound/horgand sound media-sound/mup sound media-sound/sfc sound media-sound/spiralmodular sound media-sound/tapiir sound media-sound/zynaddsubfx proaudio media-video/cinepaint video media-video/sonic-snap nerdboy net-p2p/ed2k_hash net-p2p net-print/cupsddk wschlich net-print/xpp printing net-wireless/wepdecrypt crypto sci-biology/seaview ribosome sci-chemistry/vmd markusle x11-misc/stripclub desktop-misc x11-misc/xdiskusage desktop-misc x11-wm/flwm desktop-wm
> sci-chemistry/vmd markusle I've restricted vmd to the 1.1 slot for now since fltk currently doesn't work.
(In reply to comment #0) > app-text/flpsed tex doesn't work -> deps on the 1.1 slot
(In reply to comment #0) > media-sound/gmorgan proaudio > media-sound/zynaddsubfx proaudio dont work -> restricted are there any package supposed to work with only 2.0 while they did work with 1.1?
There is for example flpsed in version 0.6.1 uses fltk:2 so it can be added :]
(In reply to comment #4) > There is for example flpsed in version 0.6.1 uses fltk:2 so it can be added :] of course there are packages working and requiring 2.0, but my question was more "is there any chance that a package that used to work with 1.1 works with 2.0?"; in the sense that i don't see the point of cc'ing maintainers and asking for them to test it when it seems to be totally incompatible and thus fltk maintainers could go through all the tree and change the deps to fltk:1.1
Looking on how they changed that library i would say no. IT is too big rewrite. But this is really up to fltk maintainer.
I did some: dev-python/pyfltk games-simulation/crashtest games-simulation/fgrun games-util/glbsp media-gfx/aqsis media-gfx/flphoto media-gfx/openexr_viewers media-gfx/pixie x11-misc/stripclub x11-misc/xdiskusage still pending: dev-cpp/sptk iluxa media-gfx/monica robbat2 media-libs/openexr video media-sound/alsa-patch-bay sound media-sound/alsa-tools alsa media-sound/alsamixergui sound media-sound/gmorgan proaudio media-sound/horgand sound media-sound/mup sound media-sound/sfc sound media-sound/spiralmodular sound media-sound/tapiir sound media-sound/zynaddsubfx proaudio media-video/cinepaint video media-video/sonic-snap nerdboy net-p2p/ed2k_hash net-p2p net-print/cupsddk wschlich net-print/xpp printing net-wireless/wepdecrypt crypto sci-biology/seaview ribosome sci-chemistry/vmd markusle I may continue later, but I'd appreciate if maintainers do them if they can :p
> sci-biology/seaview ribosome Restricted dependency to slot 1.1 as it does not build with fltk-2.
Monica is done.
dev-cpp/sptk done
net-wireless/wepdecrypt done.
OK, all done now. I hope I didn't miss any ;-) Let's unmask fltk:2 now.
