This is a patch that incorporates an emoticon theme manager into Kopete so you can add, edit and remove emoticons. It also allows you to add custom emoticons receiveed during a conversation by right-clicking it. I've tested it with kde-base/kopete-3.5.8. It should also work with kopete-3.5.9 and 3.5.10 ebuilds. You only need to add the patch to the files directory and a line to the ebuild. I attach here both files. Here are the steps for those who don't know how to use custom made ebuilds: Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.save the patch to /usr/local/portage/kde-base/kopete/files/importemoticons.patch 2.save the ebuild to /usr/local/portage/kde-base/kopete/kopete-3.5.9-r1.ebuild 3.copy all patches from the portage tree to the "files" directory in the same folder as in step 1. 4. run: "ebuild /usr/local/portage/kde-base/kopete/kopete-3.5.9-r1.ebuild digest" 5.add the package to your /usr/portage/packages.keywords 6.emerge kopete

Haha, thanks. It's funny to see how long it took to hit the tree. I'm no longer using Gentoo, actually.
