Description:   Opened: 2008-10-30 09:49 0000
I think that RubyGems 1.2.0 should be stabilized as soon as possible. Reason
for that is that version 1.1.1 which have been stable one crashes when
installing a gem while updating list of gems. It uses MASSIVE (c.a. 1 gig)
amounts of RAM. I've installed unstable 1.2.0 version and no such problems
occured.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Agreed. Arches, please stabilize rubygems 1.2.0. Although we have not seen the
large use of ram ourselves, rubygems 1.2.0 contains a number of other
improvements and bug fixes that we would like to get out there.

------- Comment #2 From Ferris McCormick 2008-10-31 13:37:53 0000 -------
Sparc stable. I've been using it since late June, and it seems fine.

This problem occurs only in certain configurations, nobody really knows what is
going on, although 1.2.0 contains rebuilt module that in 1.1.1 fails.
