I follow the request of Petteri Räty here : http://planet.gentoo.org/developers/betelgeuse/2008/10/23/challenge_to_all_users I don't see any reason not to stalibize version 1.0. I have it in my package.keywords (only 10 ebuilds in my package.keywords) since months and everything is ok.
Archies could you please stabilize 1.0 or 1.1 Boht in the tree without issues. targed keywords for 1.0 are: ~amd64 ~ppc ~ppc64 ~sparc ~x86
Disregad the lien about 1.1 i ment to speak about 1.0 only, 1.1 depends on kde4 and we really dont want kde4.1 stabled :D whoopsie :P
# emerge -1av =media-sound/kid3-1.0 These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies - !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "media-libs/musicbrainz:3" have been masked. !!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: - media-libs/musicbrainz-3.0.2 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword) - media-libs/musicbrainz-3.0.1 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword) For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or refer to the Gentoo Handbook. (dependency required by "media-sound/kid3-1.0" [ebuild])

Bug 249746 says you're all good to mark this combo stable.
ppc stable
amd64 stable
ppc64 done, add ~ppc64 on the latest ebuild too
x86 stable
sparc stable, closing
