Description:   Opened: 2008-10-02 02:49 0000
Please stabilize sci-electronics/eagle-4.16_p2-r2 and
sci-electronics/eagle-5.1.0. I'd like to remove sci-electronics/eagle-4.16_p2
after stabilization since it has a fairly large bug (see bug #188368 or
http://www.cadsoft.de/faq.htm#17040701). I'm requesting one of both version
4.x and 5.x since 5.x can potentially mess up files created with 4.x.

====AMD64 AT REPORT====

I tested both versions of eagle, in freeware mode:

*Installation[OK]
*No src_test in ebuild[OK]
*Functionality[OK]:
Both versiones seems to work ok, but 5.1.0 looks better than 4.16. Also when
running version 5.1.0 I got this warning:
WARNING: All EAGLE versions between 4.90.1 and 5.1.1 contain a bug which, under
rare circumstances, may cause unexpected wire fragments in the CAM Processor
and PRINT output, which may lead to short circuits. These wires are not visible
in the editor window and are not reported by the DRC. So far we know of only
one single case where this happened, but in order to avoid problems it is
strongly recommended that you carefully double check your CAM data before going
into production. This bug has been fixed in version 5.1.2.

So maybe we should stabilize 5.1.2 instead? Anyway seems to work ok here, after
disabling composite, like said on homepage.

*Documentation[OK]
