probably the most important change: 2008-07-25 Miklos Szeredi <miklos@szeredi.hu> * Update kernel module to compile with 2.6.26 renaming the ebuild and removing the kernel version check wfm, tested the resulting module with sshfs-fuse under 2.6.26-gentoo-r1
Created attachment 171673 [details] fuse-2.7.4.ebuild Hello, This ebuild proposal bumps the version to 2.7.4 and adds a new disable_module USE-flag which allows the user to compile it without the kernel module. It can now satisfy the dependencies of other packages who depend on fuse, like sshfs_fuse which won't install unless fuse itself is installed. Best regards, Cristi
Created attachment 171679 [details] fuse-2.7.4.ebuild I changed the use flag so that by default the module won't be built because with current kernel versions it would likely fail to compile on the first attempt. Also, the messages were changed a bit so that the user is warned that he must compile the module provided by the kernel.
Please add this ebuild to portage. The ebuild from post #2 works just great while no version of sys-fs/fuse currently in portage compiles on my amd64 box with a monolithic 2.6.27.7 kernel due to the kernel being to new.
I would really love to update this to 2.8.0 just for the removed kernel sources. But 2.8 is not out yet, so for now just the version bump. Thanks all
