Description:   Opened: 2008-09-08 20:48 0000
I am trying to install swt with ~ppc64. What really seams strange is that it
is trying to use swt-3.4-gtk-linux-x86_64.zip instead of ppc. Perhaps that's
correct because of 64 bit? Compilation of swt fails before starting with the
message "libjawt.so not found in the JDK being used for compilation!" I did not
use ekeyword, so ~ppc64 was already in the ebuild. Perhaps there's some
dependency/use flag I'm missing.  I tried swt-3.4-gtk-linux-ppc.zip, but got
the same error.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge azureus (after ekeyword/ebuild)
2. swt is pulled in as a dependency
3.

Actual Results:

------- Comment #1 From Greg Trigg 2008-09-09 17:00:16 0000 -------
For reference, I did manage to emerge dev-java/swt-3.3.1.1 after modifying the
ebuild to include ppc64 keyword and necessary script. However when I try to
use the necessary 'firefox' USE flag for azureus, it fails to build gecko
support.

------- Comment #2 From Greg Trigg 2008-09-09 17:24:04 0000 -------
I managed to edit the ebuild for swt/swt-3.4-r1 so that it would successfully
merge. I don't know how to make a patch file, so I'll just post my changes.

For the following:
ppc64? (
            http://${MY_DMF}/${MY_P}-gtk-linux-x86_64.zip
        )"

I changed to:
ppc64? (
            http://${MY_DMF}/${MY_P}-gtk-linux-ppc.zip
        )"

For the following:
    local AWT_ARCH
    local JAWTSO="libjawt.so"
    if [[ $(tc-arch) == 'x86' ]] ; then
        AWT_ARCH="i386"
    elif [[ $(tc-arch) == 'ppc' ]] ; then
        AWT_ARCH="ppc"
    elif [[ $(tc-arch) == 'ppc64' ]] ; then
        AWT_ARCH="ppc"

I changed to:
    local AWT_ARCH
    local JAWTSO="libjawt.so"
    if [[ $(tc-arch) == 'x86' ]] ; then
        AWT_ARCH="i386"
    elif [[ $(tc-arch) == 'ppc' ]] ; then
        AWT_ARCH="ppc"
    elif [[ $(tc-arch) == 'ppc64' ]] ; then
        AWT_ARCH="ppc64"

That's all I did.

------- Comment #3 From Greg Trigg 2008-09-10 20:55:17 0000 -------
OK, I found bug 222971 which added support for ppc64. After studying it, I
returned the Ebuild to its original text with one exception that I think needs
to be made to the patch listed on 222971.

I believe

+       elif [[ $(tc-arch) == 'ppc64' ]] ; then
+               AWT_ARCH="ppc"

should be replaced by

+       elif [[ $(tc-arch) == 'ppc64' ]] ; then
+               AWT_ARCH="ppc64"

This worked for me and even built with xulrunner support successfully.

Fixed in swt-3.4-r2 in CVS, thanks.
