Description Jim Ramsay (lack) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-08-28 19:33:40 UTC
Sorry this is all in one big clump, but that's apparently how I work :) They've all been in the tree for more than 30 days, no outstanding bugs.

First, would all CC'd arches please stabilize the following apps, in this order:

------------------------
rox-base/zeroinstall-injector-0.33
To test, run '0launch --gui' on the commandline - You should get the 0install gui - If it opens, it's safe to assume that the rest works.

rox-base/rox-lib-2.0.5
Can be tested by running 'rox-mime-editor' (rox-base/mime-editor) which uses this library.

rox-base/mime-editor-0.5-r2
Can be tested by running 'rox-mime-editor'

rox-base/thumbs-0.1.4
Can be tested by running 'rox-thumbs'

rox-extra/videothumbnail-0.1.13-r1
Test by running 'rox-videothumbnail' -> You should get a dialog asking you to install the handlers, which is sufficient.

rox-base/rox-2.8
  Test by running 'rox'
------------------------

Thank you to the alpha team - You can stop here. Other arches please continue below:

------------------------
rox-base/xdg-menu-1.4
Test by running 'rox-xdg-menu' and then click "Continue in window mode".

rox-base/rox-session-0.30-r4
If you run GDM, this should make a "ROX" session show up in your session menu. Or just run 'rox-session' at a console and it should ask you if you want to install rox-session as your session handler.
------------------------

This next section can be skipped by ppc - It's for x86 and sparc only. But there's more for ppc after this:

------------------------
rox-base/rox-clib-2.1.10
  Test by running 'rox-pager' (rox-base/pager)

rox-base/pager-1.1-r2
  Test by running 'rox-pager'

rox-base/systemtrayn-0.3.2
Test by running 'rox-systemtrayn' - You'll probably just get an error message that you already have a system tray running, but that depends on your existing X environment.

rox-base/traylib-0.3.2.1
Test by running 'rox-tasktray' which is next in this list.

rox-base/tasktray-0.7
  Test by running 'rox-tasktray'
------------------------

Thank you to the sparc team - Your work here is done. This next section is for x86 and ppc:
------------------------
rox-extra/archive-2.2
Test by running 'rox-archive /usr/portage/distfiles/archive-2.2.tar.bz2' - It should ask you where to extract the tarball.

rox-extra/edit-2.0-r1
  Test by running 'rox-edit'

rox-extra/fetch-0.3.3
Test by runing 'rox-fetch', you should get the options pane.
------------------------

Thanks ppc team - That's all. The rest here is all for x86:

------------------------
rox-base/devtray-0.4.1
  Test by running 'rox-devtray'

rox-base/rox-launch-0.3.2
  Test with 'rox-launch'

rox-base/tasklist-0.5
  Test with 'rox-tasklist'

rox-extra/downloadmanager-0.1.4
Test by setting up rox-fetch and trying to download a bunch of large files at once. downloadmanager should automatically pop up (thanks to dbus) and ensure only the requested number run at once.

rox-extra/weather-0.3.1
  Test with 'rox-weather'
------------------------

Thanks! You've been great.

I am sorry if this is the wrong place to request less restrictive keywording, but I have the following Rox packages working fine on ~amd64 ~ppc ~x86 :

rox-base/oroborox-0.9.8-r1
rox-base/pager-1.1-r2

rox-base/rox-clib-2.1.10
rox-base/rox-lib-2.0.5
rox-base/rox-session-0.30-r4
rox-base/tasklist-0.5
rox-base/thumbs-0.1.4
rox-base/volume-009-r1
rox-base/xdg-menu-1.4
rox-base/zeroinstall-injector-0.33
rox-extra/clock-2.1.7

This is exactly the place - In fact, I just moved most of those packages from ~amd64 to amd64 myself, and I'm expecting that the x86 and ppc arch teams should be moving everything in my lists above from ~x86 to ~ppc, except of course the things that are not yet ~ppc.

So, are you saying that you actually have that whole list working such that ~ppc should be added to all those packages? If so, then would the ppc team CC'd here already please consider adding their keywords to the list of packages in Comment #1?

However, I will *not* stabilize oroborox, since it's not really feature-complete as a WM right now.

Also, I do not maintain <x11-terms/roxterm> so I suggest you open a separate bug about that one package.

Thanks!

Ok, so I keyworded the original list to be ppc. Then I found the ones listed in the next comment for ppc and marked those without a keyword as ~.
Comment 4 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2008-08-30 20:07:44 UTC
please note the following minor issues that I spotted:
rox-base/pager-1.1-r2: * QA Warning: running autoconf in compile phase
rox-base/systemtrayn-0.3.2: * QA Warning: running autoconf in compile phase
rox-base/tasklist-0.5: * QA Warning: running autoconf in compile phase
rox-base/rox-clib-2.1.10: dodoc: /usr/lib/ROX-CLib does not exist

x86 stable anyway.
Comment 5 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-09-01 09:43:47 UTC
alpha/sparc stable
Comment 6 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2008-09-01 22:02:35 UTC
actually remove x86, everybody is done.
