Currently portage is carrying three patches for the version of Botan included (which is over 18 months old). This is an ebuild for the latest stable release (1.6.5) based on the botan-1.6.1-r1 ebuild, changes are I have removed keywords except ~amd64 since I can only test on that platform, I have increased the versions for bzip2, gmp, and openssl to match the ones installed on my system, and I have removed the three calls to epatch since as mentioned the patches are rolled into upstream now. Reproducible: Always

thanks Jack. Much appreciated. Changes I made are: 1. i'm assuming by the redirect perminate you're hosting your tarballs in a different location? just tell me if you're not. 2. Its generally policy just to drop stable keywords of other architectures to unstable on version bump. thanks for the ebuild and the botan product itself.

Oops, that was not supposed to be a permanent redirect! :) Both http://botan.randombit.net/files/Botan-?.?.?.t[gb]z and http://files.randombit.net/botan/Botan-?.?.?.t[gb]z can both be considered permanent URLs for accessing any released version of Botan. > 2. I had thought policy was to drop everything except ~arches tested of that particular ebuild version, but it has been quite a while since I've read the Gentoo dev documentation. Thank you for the fast response and commit!
