i'll try to remove the bundled one for tl2008 and use our ebuild instead

hmm; i can't fetch the directory from ctan.
texlive version is a kpathsea enabled one and seems to be more up to date and
maintained.

I'm starting to think it'd be better to last rite dvibook and use tl version
instead.

Opinions ? It seems that was you who submitted the ebuild many years ago :)

Yeah, bug 56468. ;-)

What about tetex and ptex users? They can't use the texlive version and would
lose the functionality. Wouldn't it make sense to wait with last-rites for
dvibook until tetex/ptex go away, too?

yes it's ok that way too unless some people complain about it ;)
(so far i see it ignores ldflags, minor issue though)


anyway I hope there aren't much tetex users left; they'll probably have more
problems than the pain it would be to migrate to tl; see bug #227443, nothing
has moved, I'll probably reassign it to m-n soon.

lets set this one as fixed and keep dvibook for tetex & friends.
