Description Erik Logtenberg 2008-08-23 10:02:02 UTC
The app-backup/bacula package (at least versions 2.4.1-r1 and 2.4.2) should depend on gnome-base/libgnomeui when de gnome USE flag is used. Unfortunately, in the ebuild only gnome-base/libgnome-2 and x11-libs/gksu are mentioned as dependencies, and although they do pull in quite a bunch of gnome-related packages, the libgnomeui is left out.
This causes the configure stage of bacula to bail out, saying:
configure: error: Unable to find Gnome 2 installation

Workaround: emerge gnome-base/libgnomeui
Solution: add gnome-base/libgnomeui to the list of dependencies when the gnome USE flag is used.

this bug is also valid for app-backup/bacula-2.4.4. please resolve this trivial bug.
Comment 2 Erik Logtenberg 2009-06-13 19:22:27 UTC
Err... this bug (trivial indeed) is still not solved? Installing bacula-2.4.4 here, and still no dependency on gnome.

If we wait 2 more months, it'll be a year since this was first reported...

Anyway, luckily the workaround is equally trivial.

Fixed in 3.0.2.
