When trying to emerge =media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc2_p27120 with the x264 USE
flag, ./configure doesn't find x264 and thus "-x264encopts" is unknown to
mencoder. It turns out that the configure script has been updated in rev27041:
"require latest x264 to enable MEncoder's x264 support"
rev27040 of mplayer is able to find and build with
=media-libs/x264-0.0.20070924, rev27041 (and thus all revisions that came at a
later point, such as 27120) only seem to work with
=media-libs/x264-0.0.20080406.
I haven't tried 20080301, because 20080406 works flawlessly for me.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have =media-libs/x264-0.0.20070924 installed. It's the currently the only
version that is not masked
2. Unmask =media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc2_p27120 and activate USE="x264" for it
(via command line or /etc/portage/package.use)
3. Watch ./configure ignore x264:
Checking for x264 ... no (in libavcodec: no)
4. Unmask =media-libs/x264-0.0.20080406 and repeat step two.
5. Watch mplayer's configure script find x264 and compile just fine with it
