I just built the now stable linux-2.6.25-gentoo-r6 and then tried rebuilding the latest stable x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-71.86.01 for my card (NV20 [GeForce3 Ti 200] (rev a3)) and it bombs. See included log. Does that mean one of the currently unstable versions, ~71.86.04 ~71.86.06, has a fix? If so, when do they become stable? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. update from gentoo-sources-2.6.24-gentoo-r8 (stable) with working nvidia-drivers to 2.6.25-gentoo-r6 (stable) 2. revdep-rebuild on x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-71.86.01 3. compiler crash Previously reported in http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218178

Yes, the recent ebuild for 71.86.06 will work on your system. If this is hitting people with stable kernels now, let's get this sorted immediately. X86 arch team, I would like a stable keyword on 71.86.06 please.
96.43.07 as well please, X86. Same story there.
Thanks to testing by hoffie and permission to keyword from tsunam, the ebuild you require is now marked stable. Thank you for filing a bug report :) Please allow two hours for my changes in CVS to propagate to your local rsync mirror.
