net-mail/cyrus-imapd has a kolab use flag that adds a number of patches to the IMAP server to support kolab functionality. These patches are also needed for cyrus-imap-admin. Without them, the cyradm tool is unable to make use of the annotation functionality added by the patches.

Copying the section that applies the kolab patches from the cyrus-imapd ebuild into the cyrus-imap-admin one along with the files/kolab directory works.

My version of cyrus-imap-admin with the kolab patch section added

This is my version of the cyrus-imap-admin ebuild which I've used to install a cyradm which is compatible with the kolab/annotation patches.

The only difference from the one in portage is that it adds a 'kolab' use flag and the corresponding section from the cyrus-imapd ebuild.
