Hi. dvipdfmx is an extended version of dvipdfm, a DVI to PDF translator. Previously it is called as dvipdfm-cjk and it supports multi-byte character encodings. This ebuild DEPENDs on "virtual/tex" because pTeX (Japanese TeX) ebuild which I will post next conflicts with app-text/tetex so they should PROVIDE "virtual/tex" and let people decide which one to use. It doesn't actually depend on Acrobat Rearder Asian font pack (because you could have other CIDFonts instead of Acrobat's), but I strongly recommend to have acroread-cjkfont (bug #20821) in Gentoo CVS. I suggest this ebuild go to app-text/dvipdfmx but it may be put into dev-tex when the subdirectory will be created.

Created an attachment (id=13627) [edit] dvipdfmx-20030313.ebuild.patch This is a patch for dvipdfmx-20030313.ebuild posted before. 1. I changed the diff name from ${P} to ${P}-gentoo.diff. 2. I tested the ebuild on alpha, ppc and sparc, so added them to KEYWORDS. 3. I added a notice for xpdf users in addition to acroread users.
Hi, media-fonts/acroread-asianfonts was commited this week, so please check and commit it or should I take this bug myself?
As new snapshot release (20030728) has come out, I'll take this bug by myself.
dvipdfmx-20030728.ebuild is now in CVS.
