I'm hesitant until file-4.24 gets fixed. Which I haven't had any time to look
at or attempt to fix.

Works with file-4.2{3,5}.

A good test case for this would be to:

cp /usr/portage/distfiles/makeself-2.1.5.run /tmp
cd /tmp
chmod +x makeself-2.1.5.run
./makeself-2.1.5.run
makeself.sh --notemp makeself-2.1.5 makeself_test.run "Test for stabilization"
echo "Makeself has extracted itself"
mv makeself-2.1.5/ makeself-2.1.5.orig/
./makeself_test.run
diff -r makeself-2.1.5.orig/ makeself-2.1.5

Contents should be the same. Of course, you could make up your own files in a
directory and test it that way as well. You pick.

arch teams: Please see comment #3 for a test case if you want one. Low risk
package, should work everywhere.

hppa team: You can opt out if you want because the last version isn't stab'd

Last arch, please close bug. Thanks!
