Test suite tries to connect to :1.0.
I tried to unset DISPLAY, but that did not solve the issue.

See e.g. the koffice ebuilds, how to selectively disable X related tests.

Hi Dustin,

I think I fixed it in cvs with a trick to matplotlib backend. Re-open if the
problem persists.
