Dropped keywords for your arch.
New depend added for tests: media-gfx/swftool
Unkeyworded for some of you: >=dev-libs/boost-1.35.0
and repoman has a bunch of bile to say about >=x11-libs/agg-2.5 for you hppa
guys.

I don't have it handy, but I'm guessing it goes something like: Loki_val,
plz2cvsup. :-)

------- Comment #3 From Friedrich Oslage 2008-06-29 12:21:54 0000 -------
>=dev-ruby/rubygems-1.0.1 doesn't include /usr/bin/gem_server, this makes it impossible to use /etc/init.d/gem_server to run a server.
(it's "/usr/bin/gem server" now)

Could you fix this before we mark it stable, please? :)

------- Comment #4 From Friedrich Oslage 2008-06-29 12:22:40 0000 -------
ups, wrong bug, ignore my last comment :(

------- Comment #5 From Jeroen Roovers 2008-07-01 03:44:15 0000 -------
I have marked the deps ~hppa but sadly 0.8.3 itself doesn't play nice yet.

build.log for sparc compile failure

Failes to compile on sparc with undefined references to
__sync_val_compare_and_swap_4 and __sync_fetch_and_add_4

Any ideas?

See the blocker bugs, both of which deal with sparc problems. It's boost-1.35
acting like a petulant child again. Keywords should probably be dropped for
1.35 on sparc. If you can get it to compile with 1.34, I'll lower deps for you,
though that version fails with gcc-4.3.0.

------- Comment #8 From Ferris McCormick 2008-07-07 21:06:02 0000 -------
gnash-0.8.3 builds on sparc using gcc-4.1.2 and boost-1.34.1-r2. It even seems
to run the flashback test (sort of), which gnash-0.8.1 will not.

There are other things that need keywording, though (e.g., with USE=test, we
need swftools).

------- Comment #9 From Ferris McCormick 2008-07-07 21:08:10 0000 -------
Well, it eventually gets confused with flashback and aborts, but it does much
better than earlier versions do.

------- Comment #10 From Ferris McCormick 2008-07-08 15:16:57 0000 -------
I added ~sparc to swftools-0.8.1 in preparation for this; it seems fine on
sparc (tested with font2swf). And as I mentioned above,
gnash-0.8.3+boost-1.34.1-r2+gcc-4.1.2 builds and works better that gnash-0.8.1
(although the complex flashback test eventually defeats it).

That said, the checks for valid USE flags do not match what gnash requires;
indeed, gnash's error messages do not match what gnash requires. For example,
USE='cairo -agg -opengl gtk sdl' should work, and when it fails, the error
message says it should work, but I don't think it will use cairo if sdl is also
selected.

So, how would you like us to proceed? Ideally, boost-1.35 should be fixed, but
we have no control over that.

------- Comment #11 From Joe Jezak 2008-07-13 18:48:46 0000 -------
Marked ~ppc.

------- Comment #12 From Friedrich Oslage 2008-09-16 23:04:34 0000 -------
Now that boost has been fixed it compiles fine. Manual testing looks really
great, _much_ better than 0.8.1. About 8% of the automatic tests fail but given
that the ebuild says BETA I'd say that's acceptable and the USE-flag errors
mentioned in comment #10 are also gone.

~sparc done, ok with current stable and current testing gcc/boost.

------- Comment #13 From Jeroen Roovers 2008-09-30 16:02:21 0000 -------
I am still getting the errors of bug #230529 on hppa, compiling against the
latest boost (1.3.5-r2).

Readding SPARC as per bug #240474.

------- Comment #18 From Friedrich Oslage 2008-10-12 16:04:12 0000 -------

> Readding SPARC as per bug #240474.

Strange, so why was I able to compile and run it?

Well, I've dropped ~sparc for now, will re-add it once bug #240470 is fixed.

------- Comment #19 From Jeroen Roovers 2008-10-28 23:14:24 0000 -------
Grrr. With gnash-0.8.4 (compiling against a patched boost) there's more arch
idiocy:

In file included from flv.cpp:24:
/usr/include/boost/detail/endian.hpp:69:3: error: #error The file
boost/detail/endian.hpp needs to be set up for your CPU type.

------- Comment #20 From Jeroen Roovers 2008-10-29 03:35:38 0000 -------
With the patches from bug #240470 and bug #244834, gnash-0.8.3 compiles fine:

[ebuild R ] net-www/gnash-0.8.3 USE="gstreamer gtk nsplugin test -agg
-cairo -dbus -fbcon -ffmpeg -kde -opengl -qt3 -sdl" VIDEO_CARDS="(-i810)" 0 kB

Also, it (gtk-gnash) can display annoying ad banners. :)

------- Comment #21 From Peter Alfredsen 2008-12-13 16:52:01 0000 -------
All ebuilds but gnash-0.8.4 were dropped today since they do not work with next
stable version of ffmpeg (20081014).

------- Comment #22 From Friedrich Oslage 2009-04-06 17:11:08 0000 -------
Added ~sparc, works fine using boost-1.35.0-r2(current stable)

------- Comment #23 From Jeroen Roovers 2009-05-06 20:39:59 0000 -------
