Description:   Opened: 2008-06-15 15:13 0000
netscape-flash is not fully functional unless corefonts is installed. Without
corefonts, flash cannot display text, such as timers for youtube videos or
myspace playlists. Installing corefonts fixes the problem.

netscape-flash should depend on corefonts being installed.

Reproducible: Always

corefonts added as dependency.

It's the same with media-fonts/liberation-fonts-ttf?

Can someone give me a direct URL to such a flash that would need fonts? I don't
have/use myspace nor do I know how to use timers on youtube videos (I don't
remember seeing anything like that).

I have replaced corefonts with liberation and netscpafe-flash is the only
package which pulls them on my system.

sure, actually any youtube video will do, e.g.:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yWVop7TdIY

Immediately to the right of the progress/position bar, there should be a timer,
in this case it starts at "0:00 / 0:20". If you don't have the proper fonts
installed, this timer won't display.
