Description:   Opened: 2008-06-14 16:43 0000
The patch in summary is touching both Makefile.in and Makefile.am, probably to
avoid autotools rebuild.

This treatment is usually reserved for a few selected system packages that
cannot have their autotool scripts rebuilt.

This _could_ cause maintainermode-driven rebuild (see
http://blog.flameeyes.eu/articles/2008/06/13/maintaner-mode ), which is
something we should be avoiding as much as possible.

Please just patch Makefile.am and/or configure.in/.ac and rebuild autotools,
unless you have very good reasons not to.

I do not intend to fix current 0.7.1 as much effort as been put into 0.7.1-r1.
I'd rather ask for stabilization of r1 and remove the buggy ebuild.

ah, I should add that calling eautoreconf or eautomake was broken in 0.7.1,
hence some of the new patches in r1. So there's really nothing else to do than
wait another 15 days to start stabilization.

------- Comment #3 From Gilles Dartiguelongue 2008-06-29 17:46:04 0000 -------
0.7.1-r1 is stabled and I just killed the broken version. Closing.
