Compile of xpdf fails in the FTFont.cc file. The error, line 500, is due to using CFF_Font rather then CFF_FontReq twice in that line. Since I could not figure out how to edit the file and avoid having it clobbered during the emerge, I changed the definition of CFF_Font in /usr/include/freetype2/freetype/internal/cff_types.h (line 244), but the actual FTFont.cc package should be fixed instead. Yes, I know that you don't maintain either freetype2 or xpdf, but others will see this problem when trying to use your (very nice!!!!) system. Thanks, murray smigel
I have a fix done and committed... Waiting on a test. Works for me.
It doesn't compile here... errors out on freetype for some reason.
Just another confirmation: the xpdf build craps out on me as well.
AHA! Apparently, the files/patch file is not being downloaded on rsync or emerge or whenever it should be done. At any rate, it isn't in my portage directory structure. I have no clue how to fix it though.
committed the FTFont.cc patch should work now
Works fine now
For me, xpdf-1.00.ebuild still doesn't compile. The problem is, there is a xpdf-1.00-r1.ebuild, but it is masked because of a dependency to freetype. Which things have to be done to unmask it?
There is now xpdf 1.01 and it seems to have no more compile-problems. so somebody should close this bug.
Well it should have been closed then.:)
