Description Tobias Jakobi 2008-05-25 10:49:05 UTC
Version 0.4.1 of the filemanager emelfm2 was released on 2008-05-22.

Changelog can be found here:
http://emelfm2.net/ChangeLog

Previously on 0.4.0 the view mode didn't correctly detect UTF8 encoded textfiles. As almost anything on my system is in UTF8 this was a real pain, so this bugfix is critical for me.

Renaming ebuild works.

Greets,
Tobias

Bumping request!

Furthermore I have to correct my previous statement about ebuild renaming. It doesn't work completly. A PREFIX variable was added to the Makefile which points to the wrong directory by default (installation seems to copy files to /usr).

I noticed this because emelfm2 dropped all available plugins for no reason. It didn't seem to find them anymore. It turned out that it searched for the libs in /usr/local/lib/emelfm2/plugins and not in /usr/lib/emelfm2/plugins where installation had placed the libs.

I'm attaching my current emelfm2-0.4.1.ebuild which also has hal USE flags enabled, so you can try out HAL support with emelfm2.

Cheers,
Tobias

working ebuild for emelfm2 0.4.1

HAL use flag support was added
PREFIX now is always set to /usr which seems to work (at least) for me
