poppler-data in most part is a collection of cMaps. ghostscript-gpl (other too) with cjk useflag installs some cMaps. With the release of poppler-data-0.2.0, I think all cMaps provided for ghostscript are in poppler-data. There are a few files with ghostscript cMaps not provided by poppler-data, but I THINK, that those aren't used by ghostscript anyway (are simply infos for ghostscript developers and users). Could somebody check this claim, cause if it's correct maybe it would be simpler to add poppler-data dependency to ghostscript for cjk, instead of providing separate CMaps ?
I'm pretty sure I herd printing guys talk about this.
printing guys: any feedback on this?
Thanks, the change is in app-text/ghostscript-gpl-9.00-r1.
