In the tree since 15.4., last stable is quite old. I'd like to get this stable before the next bump.
Sparc stable. Couldn't we exercise the autotools a bit more? :)
with vpopmail in USE and no vpopmail installed this happens on my ppc: configure: error: /etc/lib_deps does not exist - upgrade vpopmail to the current version or fix the permissions on this file !!! Please attach the following file when seeking support: !!! /var/tmp/portage/net-libs/courier-authlib-0.60.2/work/courier-authlib-0.60.2/config.log * * ERROR: net-libs/courier-authlib-0.60.2 failed. After installing vpopmail the build succeeds. Looks like a missing dep.
comment #2: Seems like you're right. Unfortunately, upstream dropped vpopmail-support with the newest release (a few days ago). Hanno (reminder): We should print out a big fat warning when USE=vpopmail is switched on, at least in the upcoming ebuild.
I've now added an -r1 ebuild which disables vpopmail. So archs, please continue stabilizing -r1.
Stable for HPPA.
ppc stable
Stabled -r1 on alpha.
Hrm, so my mail server that uses courier-authlib with vpopmail is going to have what?
For the moment, you have to stay with what version you have now. But for sure, that's not a solution. Upstream dropped vpopmail-support in the release following this one (0.60.4, released some weeks ago). As the whole dep-chain for vpopmail would block stabilization for this, we decided to actually drop it right now to get a working stable version for most courier users. The big breakage for courier and vpopmail would have come some weeks later, I think that cannot be a problem. vpopmail-users should bother upstream for dropping this (mailing list courier-users at sourceforge) or switch to another authentication module.
amd64/x86 stable
ia64 stable
> so my mail server that uses courier-authlib with vpopmail is going to have > what? Probably switch to something that is supported. vpopmail is dropped by courier upstream (i.e. the courier developers) and they'll probably re-add it if anyone steps in and maintains it. So you have two choices: Find someone to maintain it (you?) or switch to something else.
we're done
