Description:   Opened: 2008-05-12 17:51 0000
Thanks in advance.

------- Comment #1 From Matthias Langer 2008-05-13 01:20:39 0000 -------
well, i'll take a look at these tomorrow on amd64; what i want to mention here
now, most likely applies all arches where media-gfx/gtkam-0.1.12-r2 is the
latest stable version:

media-gfx/gtkam-0.1.12-r2 cannot be build against media-libs/libgphoto2-2.4.1.
thus, i would suggest to fix bug 178584 first, and stable
media-gfx/gtkam-0.1.14 too.

media-gfx/gtkam-0.1.14 USE="gimp gnome nls -debug"

seem to work fine for me with my old Kodak CX6230 digital camera. i've imported
a few pictures, both with gtkam and gphoto2 directly. additionally, i played
around a bit with the various command line switches gphoto2 supports, and
didn't find any issue.

RedHat does some patching on this:

http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-extras-commits/2008-February/msg10040.html

We might want to integrate the patch. maekke, what do you think?

------- Comment #10 From Tobias Klausmann 2008-05-18 20:09:49 0000 -------
I've tried the RH patch and it works fine for me with libgphoto2/gphoto2 and my
Nikon D70. I'll leave integrating to you maekke. I'll attach the patch as I
used it. Just poke me when you have something to test/stabilize.

Added in media-libs/libgphoto2-2.4.1-r1. If you want, you can stabilize it
right now or I'll re-add arches again in 30 days.

Stabled 2.4.1-r1/2.4.1 on alpha.

------- Comment #13 From Markus Meier 2008-05-25 13:10:46 0000 -------
amd64 stable, all arches done.
