Description Dustin Polke 2008-05-06 16:51:04 UTC
texmaker-1.71 has been released. New features announced on TexMaker's website:

Version 1.7.1 (May 2 2008) : This version fixes some critical bugs ("Previous Error" command and syntax highlighting)
Version 1.7 (April 24 2008) :

    * Spell checking is now based on hunspell and uses OpenOffice.org dictionaries
    * New LaTeX log errors detection
    * New "search" interface
    * Indentation "memory"
    * Code completion

Recycling the texmaker-1.60 ebuild compiles fine and seems to work at first view.
Note that TexMaker now uses hunspell instead of aspell so at least this dep needs to be adapted. I couldn't figure out which version of hunspell is needed but there is a bug in bugzilla, which seems to be important concerning this matter: Bug 219811

Would be nice to get this into the tree.
If I could be of assistance, just let me know.

BR,
Dustin

Reproducible: Always

bumped, thanks.
unless I'm mistaken, hunspell is included there and its not trivial to remove it, so... :(
Comment 2 Dustin Polke 2008-05-13 08:37:10 UTC
I played around with the sources and I think it is quite trivial to make texmaker use system hunspell. I am not experienced qith QT though, so there could be situation the source does not compile, but on my amd64 box it does right now. I will attach the patch to the source as well as to the ebuild.

Applied, thanks a lot !
I just changed your patch to do LIBS += "-lhunspell" instead of putting it in LDFLAGS and that's all.
