Description:   Opened: 2008-05-02 19:58 0000
Please stabilize sys-boot/grub-0.97-r5
Target keywords: x86 amd64
Test procedures: emerge grub, make SURE you update your copy in /boot AND your
MBR.

Per bug 214563, we need to have the new Grub stable, otherwise users can get
unbootable systems if they did mkfs of /boot with >=e2fsprogs-1.40.5 (.6 is in
stable).

I know about bug 218611, it's either fixed already in patchset 1.7, or should
be very rare. I have had only a single report of it.

====AMD64 AT REPORT====

*Installation [OK] using the following use flags:
USE="ncurses -custom-cflags -netboot -static"
*Test [OK]
*Documentation [OK]

*Functionality [OK] : Tested both install methods (manual and grub-install) and
then rebooted my box to see if both works. Seems stable enough on my box.

---grub-install---
MoonLight ~ # grub-install --no-floppy /dev/sda
Installation finished. No error reported.
This is the contents of the device map /boot/grub/device.map.
Check if this is correct or not. If any of the lines is incorrect,
fix it and re-run the script `grub-install'.
