Description:   Opened: 2008-05-01 14:01 0000
I just ran into this:

$ growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/hda=my.iso
Executing 'builtin_dd if=my.iso of=/dev/hda obs=32k seek=0'
:-( failed to create thread: Input/output error

This error is specific to arches which cannot use 64k thread stacks (powerpc in
my case) and is fixed in app-cdr/dvd+rw-tools-7.0-r1. The version is in the
tree since 17 Feb 2008.
