Please add amd64 to supported archs. I will provide a working ebuild for paml-4b as well.
Created an attachment (id=150147) [edit] paml-4b.ebuild
Thanks much for the note and I just added paml-4b to portage cvs (with ~amd64). best, Markus
Markus, are you sure? # emerge -uN paml Calculating dependencies / !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "sci-biology/paml" have been masked. !!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: - sci-biology/paml-4.1 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword) - sci-biology/paml-4b (masked by: ~amd64 keyword) For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or refer to the Gentoo Handbook.

One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: > - sci-biology/paml-4.1 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword) > - sci-biology/paml-4b (masked by: ~amd64 keyword) > Yes, paml is ~amd64 which is what portage is telling you. However, since you apparently have ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" you will need to add it to package.keywords to be able to emerge it (there is no stable version for paml at this point). Best, Markus
Nothing left to do, closing.
