Hi,

After upgrading two of my dev boxes to the new qt-4.4.0_rc1,
assistant seems to have lost its doc files. By default, it
only shows the Qt Assistant intro page and an empty index/contents.
The "doc" useflag correctly installs the *.html files into
/usr/share/doc, but it seems that assistant can't use these and rather
insists on *.qch files only. I was able to fix this by extracting the
relevant *.qch files from the tarball and pointing assistant
at them (i.e., qt.qch, assistant.qch etc.) which worked fine.
Hence, should these qch files be installed by default, or am I
doing something wrong?

Thanks much for your help!

Best,
Markus

Would you have any idea where assitant expects those *.qch files to be?

Unfortunately, no :(
I'll have a look at it and let you know if I can
figure something out.

Thanks,
Markus

qt-assistant-4.4.0 installs *.qch files to /usr/share/doc/qch, since that's
where the qmake buildsystem would put them if I understand it correctly.

Don't have more time atm, but if you figure out whether that's correct or where
to put them if that's not correct, I'll fix it.

Sorry for taking so long ;-).
