Description Evan Teran 2008-04-07 14:26:48 UTC
There are crashes in OpenMotif that I hit nearly every day. For me, the appear almost exclusively in nedit, my editor of choice, but they are confirmed to be originally caused by OpenMotif.

Normally, I would just submit a report to them, but they have already been:
http://bugs.motifzone.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1390
http://bugs.motifzone.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1389

Both of these bug entries have patches which are apparently applied to the CVS version of OpenMotif, but unfortunately, there has been no "release" from OpenMotif since June of last year and I am tired of waiting.

So, I am requesting that the 2 patches from these reports be applied to the 2.3.0 ebuilds. Several people have confirmed that they work and fix the issue. It really is just a problem with OpenMotif release cycle :(.

Thanks,
Evan Teran

Reproducible: Always

Note: for http://bugs.motifzone.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1390 the patch suggested in the original report is not the official fix, that is linked in the next entry:
