config.log

I did get a config.log in my build. This *frequently* occurs during the configure:
/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.2.3/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lgssapi

$ locate libgssapi
/usr/lib/sasl2/libgssapiv2.so.2
/usr/lib/sasl2/libgssapiv2.so
/usr/lib/sasl2/libgssapiv2.so.2.0.22
/usr/lib/sasl2/libgssapiv2.la
/usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so
/usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2
/usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2.2

However, curl-7.18.1 correctly uses libgssapi_krb5 instead. It works fine for me.

Adding ldap to use flags and emerging curl-7.18.1 works :)

Comment 6 Daniel Black (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-05 12:33:59 UTC
i've fixed it so it doesn't require ldap now. Thanks for the bug report.
Comment 7 Graham Russell 2008-04-05 12:44:52 UTC
No problem, sorry I meant to say that I then tried it without ldap and it (7.18.1) worked ok :)
Comment 8 Daniel Black (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-06 23:23:29 UTC
Graham - no problems - that's what i thought you ment.

Esigra - are you still having problems with the latest version?
Comment 9 Erik 2008-04-07 01:32:28 UTC
Problem gone after emerge --sync.
Comment 10 Mathy Vanvoorden 2008-04-08 21:30:00 UTC
I had the same problem and I can confirm it is fixed after syncing.
Comment 11 Axel Dyks 2008-04-13 23:24:01 UTC
I have both "ldap" and "kerberos" in USE and curl-7.17.1 dies by throwing

 ldap and kerberos (gssapi) not playing nicely try version >=7.18.1

Considering that 7.18.1 isn't stable yet (on x86), I don't think that this
is actually a fix for the problem.
// Well, for now I'm adding "=net-misc/curl-7.18.1* ~x86" to "package.keywords"

Cheers
Axel

I have the same issue:
