Description:   Opened: 2008-04-02 07:06 0000
When I try to upgrade OpenSSH to version 4.9_p1 the emerge process failes, when
it tries to apply the chroot patch to it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. allow to install the ~amd64 version
2. run the command 'emerge openssh'

Actual Results:
It fails with the message that applying the patch has failed.

Expected Results:
The patch should be applied and OpenSSH should be updated to version 4.9_p1.

------- Comment #5 From Charles Clément 2008-04-02 16:37:02 0000 -------
Same bug on ~x86 arch.

------- Comment #6 From Charles Clément 2008-04-02 17:02:00 0000 -------
As said Sergey Dryabzhinsky in Bug 215900, the patch doesn't seem to be needed
any more, as chroot support as been added upstream.
Maybe we should drop the chroot USE flag in this case.

------- Comment #7 From Jaak Ristioja 2008-04-02 18:52:13 0000 -------
Therefore the chroot USE-flag should be removed from the ebuild.

------- Comment #8 From SpanKY 2008-04-02 21:01:17 0000 -------
USE=chroot dropped

------- Comment #9 From Dmitriy Bogun 2009-02-08 23:10:27 0000 -------
Very bad...

Internal ChrootDirectory have less abilities in compare to the chroot patch.
Wth patch I can set chroot path individually for each user and assign them to
predefined sandboxes. With internal chroot support I can't do that.

sadly...
