Description Ali Polatel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-31 11:21:54 UTC
I patched the new version of lxml to use cython instead of own bundled version of pyrex. I had to drop ~hppa,~ia64,~ppc and ~ppc64 keywords.
Please test and keyword as needed. Thanks :)

Same here, but I used the normal portage version, not an overlay of both lxml and cython, just ~x86.
python 'import Cython' works well. And version 0.9.6.12 is installed.
Comment 3 Ali Polatel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-05 15:48:56 UTC
weird, I can't reproduce it here on two boxes. Does
> python -c 'import pkg_resources as pr; pr.require("Cython")'
give the same error? Are you sure the python version when you
installed cython is the same as the python version you used to install lxml?
Just trying to figure out what might be the problem..

Comment 4 Espen A. Kristiansen 2008-04-06 15:49:40 UTC
I can confirm this bug on ~amd64.

~$ python -c 'import pkg_resources as pr; pr.require("Cython")'
Traceback (most recent call last):
...
pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: Cython

That did it. Marked ~hppa.
Comment 8 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-07 15:32:59 UTC
added ~ppc64
Comment 9 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-08 09:38:19 UTC
~ia64 done
Comment 10 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-02-23 16:35:01 UTC
ppc is already done with newer versions, but I marked lxml-2.0.3 ~ppc to be sure. Closing since we're the last arch.
