gvfs-0.2.1 with use gphoto2 only compiled in my system with 
media-libs/libgphoto2-2.4.0-r1

I can confirm that gnome-base/gvfs-0.2.1 and 0.2.2 needs
>=media-libs/gphoto2-2.4.0.
Log of failure attached.

confirmed here too.  gvfs needs a dependency on libgphoto and gphoto2 > 2.4,
which incidentally were keyword masked ~amd64 on my machine.

read on: do not mix STABLE packages with _HARD_MASKED_ packages.

Hard masked or not, this was a missing dependency.  Should I not report such a
bug?
