When I try to emerge -u sun-jdk, I get the following error:

I suppose it has something to do with class data sharing archives, which were
added in 1.6.0.05-r1

yeah as I guessed, the class data sharing archive building doesn't work on
hardened because the binaries aren't marked at that point
