Add this to src_compile() in the ebuild:

append-flags -DGL_GLEXT_PROTOTYPES

I've added this to the ebuild now.

@Balint: Could you give the mirrors some time to catch up, resync and try

Looks like the 2.4.0 ebuild lacks the fix, reopening per recent dupe.

Falsely believed that this has been taken care of upstream, sorry about that.
Re-enabled the fix in the ebuild.
