 * environment, line 2052: Called die
 * The specific snippet of code:
 *       emake -j1 || die "emake failed"
 *  The die message:
 *   emake failed
 *

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -auDN --with-bdeps y world
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Unmasking did not help - latest version is 1.6.09-r1.

Expected Results:
Compiles successfully

xmlrpc-c is required by cmake which is required by kde so I would guess that kde users will see this on next update

Reassigning to maintainer-needed since Wulf was retired as a Gentoo developer. See bug #168573 for reference.

xmlrpc-c-1.06.09-r2 emerges just fine here. I added the "curl" and "libwww" flags to package.use to closer simulate Paul's system. Here's my emerge --info:

Fixed in CVS. The variable SRCDIR was being passed to the ebuild. I just unset SRCDIR. Try either 1.06.09-r2 or 1.06.27. Marking as fixed.
