Description:   Opened: 2008-03-19 01:50 0000
/etc/modules.d is long deprecated. please provide an equivalent
/etc/modprobe.d file.

------- Comment #1 From Steve Dibb 2008-05-15 18:02:00 0000 -------
Can anyone confirm if the format of the file needs to change, or is it
compatible between both?

------- Comment #2 From Steve Dibb 2008-05-15 18:04:43 0000 -------
General consensus suggests its alright, fixed in alsa-utils-1.0.16-r2

------- Comment #3 From SpanKY 2008-05-16 15:15:36 0000 -------
if you want to speak generally, the valid syntax of files in modprobe.d/ vs
modules.d/ is more restrictive as keywords have been removed
