1.40.9 is fixed.

From the 1.40.8 changelog(yes, 1.40.8):
Resize2fs had a bug resizing large inodes with extended attributes that was
fixed in 1.40.6; unfortunately, it turned out it wasn't fixed completely on
big-endian systems such as PowerPC. The bug should be completely fixed now. Yay
for regression test suites. (Addresses Red Hat Bugzilla: #434893)

Guess 1.40.8 is not safe on big endian arches

Guess we'll pass one this one then unless somebody has a better plan.
